Cyprus - Aphrodite's Island

Legend has it that the goddess of love,  Aphrodite,  rose from the waves at Cyprus. Mark Anthony is reputed to have given Cyprus to Queen Cleopatra of Egypt as a lovers gift. King Richard the Lionheart was married on Cyprus. Steeped in the legends and mythology of the Mediterranean, North Cyprus is a place that still has all the intrigue and mystery of those ancient days.

North Cyprus has become the discerning holiday-makers choice destination as one of the few unspoilt corners of the Mediterranean. North Cyprus Villas offers you a selection of high quality self-catering private holiday villas at reasonable prices. All of the properties are set along the coast of North Cyprus, within easy reach of the picturesque town of Girne (Kyrenia).

Girne, with its celebrated horse-shoe harbour overlooked by the impressive bastions of an ancient Venetian castle has an excellent range of shops, cafes, restaurants and banks all within easy walking distance of the harbour.

There are many lovely beaches along the north coast. The renowned Escape Beach (formerly Sunset Beach) is only 5 miles west of Girne, minutes away by car - a wonderful beach for children, shallow and safe. The Karpas peninsula has some of the most spectacular beaches in the Mediterranean, and not a hotel in sight!
