Water is supplied both from the mains into large storage tanks and also from our own well. Bottled water is available at all local shops. Electricity is 240 volts and all power sockets are standard 13 amp British fittings. Solar panels heat the water for showers and there is also an immersion heater. The cooker uses both electric and bottled gas and full bottles are supplied as required. Barbecues are also provided and charcoal is available from the village shops.
There is a wealth of information about North Cyprus available in the Villa. We are not able to arrange flights for you , but recommend Cyprus Gold-(Phone 0208 291 0089 and ask for Huseyin), the Agents we use ourselves and who specialise in travel to North Cyprus. Kemal also owns Karapasha Cars, a car hire company. Should you choose to rent a car from him for your holiday the rental includes free transfers to and from the Airport. Kemal Karapasha, who owns Kemals Cottage and Poets Villa is a Turkish Cypriot friend who looks after Villa Alonia and our guests there. He lives in the village, speaks excellent English and is readily available to deal with any queries that may arise during your holiday. A village woman cleans and changes the linen and towels. There is a telephone installed on which local calls can be made and both local and international calls received.
